This was a field where a few abandoned vehicles were parked, 3 miles down a mud road in the middle of nowhere. Though the host said another camper was leaving that day, there was no sign anyone had been there in quite some time. Looking at other reviews (which I should have done BEFORE booking) this seems to be a recurring theme. I DO NOT recommend.
Quite difficult to find, luckily GPS coordinates help, but they are not that accurate. You May enjoy if you like to explore a dumping site and do not mind the long cargo trains every 5 - 10 minutes until late at night and resuming 06:00 .
There was 2 miles of Rough dirt road which was okay but slow going. But we could not find the hipcamp driving in at night.
If you drive in during daylight, you should be okay.
We were disappointed that we although we’re pretty sure we located the property, we could not find an entrance. The host mentioned that a camper was leaving the day we were coming in, but we didn’t see any tire tracks onto the property. It would have been a great spot for us and dogs, bummer. I would suggest that the host be more specific in his written directions and perhaps put some kind of marker at the entrance to the land. (Not tires! LOL). We are at one week and are still waiting for a refund. Bummed
Its an empty piece of land. There was no one close by, it was quite except for the train that would come through throughout the night. I wouldn't recommend if thats going to bother you. The sunset was amazing. The property can be a tad hard to find, follow the directions.
