RV camping in Southern Oregon guide

Overview

From the beautiful south coast to forest-fringed Crater Lake National Park (the only national park in the state), Southern Oregon is a fantastic place to explore by RV. Take in the scenery along the Samuel H. Boardman State Scenic Corridor, go rafting on the wild Rogue River, go wine-tasting at some of many area wineries, or take in a Shakespeare play in the artsy city of Ashland, then stay in RV parks and campsites along the way. Much of Southern Oregon is protected land, and you'll find ample RV camping in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest, the Umpqua National Forest, and the Fremont-Winema National Forest. If you plan to visit Crater lake, you’ll need to book well in advance or opt for one of many privately owned RV sites in the nearby area, notably in and around the communities of Chiloquin and Klamath Falls. Here you're likely to find RV amenities such as dump stations, electric hookups, bathrooms, and sometimes kid-friendly playgrounds.
