Fox Creek Campground
Description
Fox Creek Campground is in prime location for those seeking a bit of rugged exploration. Just a short walk to Fox Creek (hence the name), you can take a chilly dip or try your luck fishing for dinner. With plenty of picnic tables around, it’s a great spot to bring the family or friends for the classic hot dogs and potato chips (if you didn’t hit it off with the fish). As far as surroundings go, The Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest boasts beautiful lush foliage that escapes down to the forest floor. You can take a relatively short hike to Box Canyon Viewpoint, a geological formation that has been in the making for the last 65 million years or so. From here, you get to wow at the impressive 500 foot chasm that reaches depths of up to 150 feet. As a bonus, there is a stellar view of Fish Tail Falls from here. All the campsites are walk-in, walk-out, making it perfect for those looking for easy accessibility.
