Ross Lake is a beautiful area, and this campground is fantastic. However the summary on this site makes it sound a little like you can just show up with your friends in tow and set up shop. That is not accurate. You need a reservation and permit to camp here. Reservations open mid-March and are only available through North Cascades National Park. This is not a private campground.
