Jamaica Campground
Description
Jamaica State Park is a great camping destination for day hikers. If you also fancy yourself a swimming hole enthusiast, you can’t go wrong. If sleeping on the ground isn’t your thing, you can rent a lean-to or simply pay the $3 day fee to enjoy the park and stay the night elsewhere. The hikes vary in steepness and length, but if you want a worthwhile challenge, be sure to take the 6-mile round-trip trail to Hamilton Falls and back. Whether you concentrate on the nearby areas along the river or venture into the constantly changing forest, Jamaica State Park is a memorable place to hike and camp.
