Big Sioux Campground
Description
Big Sioux Campground sits along the banks of the cascading Big Sioux River. Bring your canoes to paddle through the cool waters and explore the stunning scenery! There are a few hiking trails to choose from, including a one-mile stop-and-shoot archery trail. History buffs can check out nearby Devil’s Gulch, where infamous outlaw Jesse James is said to have made a daring escape after robbing a bank by leaping over the 18-foot gorge. We don’t recommend trying this yourself… but it’s still a cool destination!
