This RV pad, located 1.5 miles from Exit 77 on I-90, has breathtaking views the Clark Fork valley and is located near whitewater rafting, fishing, hunting and hiking amenities. Located at functioning food and flower farm (Crescent Ridge Farm), the RV pad is located 400 feet from the farm house and a few hundred feet from the large flower garden.

Weippe is a unique destination steeped in history, offering visitors a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the Nez Perce people and the early fur trading era. Originally documented as “Oy-ipe” by General Oliver Otis Howard during his 1877 campaign against the Nez Perce, the name has various interpretations, with some historians suggesting it means “very old place.” The Nez Perce language adds layers of meaning, with “oy” translating to “all,” while the significance of “iap” remains a mystery. Local lore also hints at connections to natural springs or camas grounds, making the name's origin a topic of ongoing debate.
Following the Corps of Discovery's expedition, the fur trading industry flourished in Idaho, and the discovery of gold by E.D. Pierce in 1860 sparked a rush to the area in 1861. The Homestead Act further encouraged settlement, leading to Weippe's growth and development. Incorporated in December 1964, Weippe is situated along the Gold Rush Historic Byway on Idaho Highway 11.
The Weippe Prairie, one of Idaho's eight registered national landmarks, is part of the National Lewis & Clark Historic Trail. This picturesque level meadow, bordered by lush forests, features Jim Ford’s Creek

2 nights at Sanctuary Farm Yurt Glamping
We loved our time at Sanctuary Farm. The farm itself is on a private road, off a minor country road in a heavily treed area - The drive there is spectacular. You know you are in for something special! The yurt was placed well away from the owner's home, which gave lots of privacy and the night sky is DARK, so perfect for stargazing. The composting sawdust outhouse was a short walk from the yurt & surprisingly pleasant - no odor or flies and plenty of ventilation. 1000 times nicer than a port-o-potty. The solar heated camp shower provided by the host worked great. Just be sure to shower in the evening after the water has had all day to heat up! The optional breakfast was delish - definitely worth the cost & we ate out for our other meals, so never used the outdoor kitchen. We enjoyed our time here & would definitely recommend it to others seeking a stay off-the-beaten path.

Excellent spot. Nice amenities (table/chairs, grill, fire pit/wood, croquet, trees for shade) and a sweet view of the valley. Quiet road to walk on and stretch your legs and walk the dog. Great communication from the hosts, who made sure everything was good for our stay. Would definitely stay here again.

The site was perfect for us and our dogs traveling with us. They loved the freedom to sniff and explore. The trail to the sandy beach was a nice stroll. The train traffic was light, and hwy noise was not really a problem. It was nice to have a picnic table, and plenty of space to put our chairs.
The gate is not really green anymore, but it’s the only gate, so we figured it out. The old hwy bridge has a spectacular view of the gorge. Nice spot for the night.

Loved the unique spot here- in the trees, near the river with a trail down to it, the light on the cliffs in the morning- beautiful! My husband had a hard time sleeping with some train and traffic noise, and I slept great. If you’re a super light sleeper, this may not be your top pick. It was, however, a beautiful place to wake up to after a Missoula concert, when headed back to Washington in the morning :)

This is a great spot. Only problem this is 4 hours north of Boise about an hour east of lowman 2hours west of Montana on us 12. In the mountains you know not In the high dessert of south idaho. But close to here is duck valley which is an Indian reservation. And Mountain View camp site is. Good spot on a lake. Check it out.

A rather unique USFS campground, and not just because some (not all) sites have electricity. Many are HUGE. Some have as many as three tables, and even benches around a quite large firepit. Thus it's popular for family events and such.
Additionally, the sites are very private. Although within earshot of the highway, traffic is almost non existent after dark. Tons of historical trails and dirt roads nearby, and the Lochsa River and Lodge within a short walk.

A great campground, well maintained and very accessible. The best thing about Giant White Pine (in my opinion) is access to a network of well-built and maintained mountain bike trails that start at the campground. You could easily spend a weekend here riding trails during the day, and camping at night.
While trees screen the view of the nearby highway 6 visually, some sites are only about 20' from the highway, and even those furthest away are probably less than 200'. It's a beautiful area, but not as remote as many other sites in the panhandle.
