In 2013 my husband and I retired from Florida to Murphy; We built a small cabin in the woods and began collecting critters. We now have 4 Nigerian goats, 4 Great Pyrenees and 1 little rescue mixed puppy. We are so blessed and wanted to give back. Several men from our church along with my husband and I built the "Bunkhouse" to provide inexpensive lodging to those that wanted to enjoy the simple life. Money received is shared with Renewed Hope a local not for profit, faith-based drug and alcohol treatment facility. Comfortable and cool. The family that runs it cares. It was nice and very clean. I'm not the most nature based person.... but it was something my son wanted so it was nice to find a happy medium.

Much needed weekend getaway. The cabin was absolutely amazing from the beautiful views to the awesome decor. Our host Wanda and George are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. Great location to hiking trails or tubing down the nice cool river on a hot summers day. This definitely will not be our last visit. Thank you both for allowing us to enjoy a little piece of your paradise. P. S. Loved the goats and the the sweet doggies.

Serenity in the mountains.
This place is where you go when you need to connect with nature and have the kindest, most thoughtful hosts in the universe. It's lovely, serene, calming, charming. I enjoyed myself thoroughly. The goats are awesome, the dogs are as kind and sweet as the hosts. I have not felt so happy in years. The woods are brilliant. The creek behind the school down the road is a joy to explore. The cabin has everything you need to disconnect, without giving up hot showers. I made dinner, breakfast, mini freezer/fridge right there. Slept like a baby to the sounds of nature. 100000 out of 10!!!

Lovely place to stay 🐐
They are just about the nicest people you could ask for, absolutely lovely. This is our second time and certainly not our last. We love how we get to take a break from our crazy lives to just sit on the porch with a glass of wine and a good book. But the stars of the show are the goats and dogs, each with a hilarious personality. We also loved the new walking trail lining the creek with plenty of wildlife to enjoy.

A True Tiny Gem with a Big Heart!
10/10 would rebook! We absolutely loved our stay. From the animals to the walking trail with all the cute signs to Wanda and George’s amazing hospitality, Tiny Cabin in the Woods was amazing. Beds were comfortable, the cabin well stocked with things that made our stay easier, and the whole vibe just so inviting and cozy. I found myself singing “Little cabin in the woods” 🎶 all weekend. Thank you for the wonderful time!

Such a lovely little cabin. Very comfortable and had every amenity needed. Was so nice to sit and drink my coffee on the front porch. Very peaceful. I hope to stay here again.
