Pull down a paved road and get out of your car and sit down at a picnic table in front of a private waterfall!
This site has a pull through, full hookup spot with 30amp for campers but tents are always welcome or a combination of the two. I've had a 33' camper, popup camper and 6 tents at this campsite all at the same time so there plenty of room for your family and friends!
We're 2.5 miles from the Cherokee Casino and 3.5 miles from down town Cherokee
If you're tired of crowded campgrounds then you'll love the privacy this campground offers. This is now a two site campground with each site being around 100' away from the other site with trees and vegetation growing in between, you more or less cant see on site from the other from May until November.
There is a orange cone that marks the border of the two sites. One set of campers will not be allowed on the other campers campsite, if this happens you will be evicted with no refund.
Check in is at 2pm and check out is at 12pm.
There is a house and a church on the same road so please drive slowly.
No shooting firearms, (although you may hear people shooting firearms because you will be camping in the mountains) but your more than welcome to bring your firearms. Its better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
No fireworks.
No making trails or collecting firewood (This is not because I want to sell you firewood, its because I want to have the property remain as pristine as possible)
Do not cut down trees alive or dead
If you move picnic tables please move them back
Dogs are permitted but contact before you book the site to confirm if your dog will be a good fit. If you know your dog barks constantly of other people while camping then it will not be a good fit. I charge for dogs the same as I do for extra guests
There is a small Church around 200 yards from the campground. They hold services every Wednesday and Sunday. They generally start around 5pm and it lasts around a hour. If your into that they would love to have you come down.
The EBCI opened a dispensary around 3 miles from the campground. It will open to all adults over 21 starting September 7th 2024.

Just hours before our check in we found out that the site had no potable water. This was not in the listing for either the creekside or waterfall site. The host graciously offered us a refund as a result. However, our friends that were camping at the waterfall site were not given a refund, even worse they received a completely unhinged review that goes as far as to stating he has filed a police report. The fact of the matter is that our friends mistakenly turned on a breaker that was next to the breaker for their RV hookup and that other breaker turned on the well pump - unbeknownst to them. The reason for this is because the host had unclear instructions. He had none of this information in the listing as he claimed. He texted us day of with instructions. The instructions said not to turn on the breaker "on the well houses". We did not turn on any breakers at the well house. As it turns out, the well pump breaker is in the same breaker box as the RV hookup with no labeling of it as the well pump. So what occurred was an honest mistake with no malicious intent. And the whole thing could have been avoided with better communication and clearer instructions. And then to leave a nasty review and involve the police is just very extreme and overly aggressive. While our stay was fine, even though we didn't have water as we thought we would, the treatment towards our friends is inexcusable. I would never want anyone to deal with this host again. 100% amateur hour.

Richard's campsites are beautiful. The Waterfall site is large, and could easily fit a tent with a small camper. The creek is peaceful and clean.
We look forward to visiting again in the warmer months.
We stayed in early-mid December, and the water hookups were no longer available. I'd recommend clarifying what amenities will be available if you're camping in the fall or winter.

Tiny camper with our dog!

The riverside campsite was great! It’s out of the way just enough to be private, but still very close to everything. The actual site was beautiful, the river had trout swimming in it, and the sound of the water rushing by provided some natural white noise. We will be back on Richard’s land again!

Absolutely beautiful and peaceful place to relax. Only 1 bar Verizon service so plan to unhook from the world. Site was clean and ready for us on arrival. Owner was courteous and helpful. Great place!
