That’s pretty likely to happen at Norris Hot Springs Campground! It’s cool though, they’re just there to chill and not steal your delicious camp treats. These first-come, first-served sites are not only bison friendly, but also RV and tent friendly. The towering pines offer plenty of shade with restrooms, water, picnic tables, and fire pits. Basically, all you need for a rad camping weekend! Norris Geyser Basin is right next door and with ranger programs, hiking, and museums just steps away, you’re bound to make a friend or two (of the human and animal kind) along the way.
The line to get a campsite is quite long in the summer months, the day we were there they did not release most of the sites until after 10:00 am and we had arrived at 8:30 am.
