This small, secluded, and rustic campground is well-worth the drive it takes to get here. The sounds of French Creek can be heard as you explore the campground, and your camp crew will be delighted by how much privacy exists between a good chunk of the sites, thanks to aspens and wild rose bushes. When you feel like getting out to explore more, the nearby creeks offer fishing access, and the Lower Tie Hack trailhead is only .25 miles away.

Cozy, rustic, dry, one room mountainside cabin with outhouse, sits under the wide open Wyoming sky. (Has electricity, electric heat) View sunsets and star filled skies from the front patio. A microwave, mini fridge, propane grill allow for simple meals to be prepared. The Little Cabin offers a mountainside basecamp, getaway, vacation or over night travel stop 30 miles from LARAMIE, WY, I80, WY 130, US 287 and Co 125. 2.5 miles from Woodslanding on WY 230. Depending on the time of year there are various outdoor activities nearby to enjoy. Hiking, Fishing, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country skiing. There are Mountain Lakes, Plains Lakes, the Big Laramie River, Snowy Range Down Hill Ski Area all with in a 60 mile radius. There is public access to the Big Laramie River across the highway where you can fish or walk the public access path that runs along side it. Saratoga, WY, natural Hot Springs are about 90 miles West and makes for a beautiful drive. Snowy Range Mountain offers a down hill ski area, trails for hiking, cross country skiing and snow shoeing. Star gazing from the Little Cabin or Gazebo is amazing. There is no light pollution which allows a view of the stars some have never seen.

Our Mission & Story The YL Ranch is a welcoming and inclusive restorative guest ranch seeking to reestablish our connection to one another, community, nature, and the outdoors. The YL is a sanctuary for the weary, a retreat, and a place to be whole again, inspiring creatives and explorers. In 2018, Jock and Kimberly opened the ranch gate to guests, reunions, retreats, camps, and other special events. In 2022, we welcomed the launch of the Wyoming Backcountry Discovery Route and the many adventure motorcyclists from around the world! In 2017, Jonathan Boyer and his wife, Kimberly Coats, returned to their ranch in Wyoming. The YL was Jock’s childhood home. They had spent the previous decade in Rwanda running the Rwandan National Cycling Team. Jock’s boyhood dream has always been to return to the ranch and share its special gifts with friends and guests from around the world. The YL Ranch has been in the Boyer family since 1905. Jock and Kimberly look forward to welcoming you with their own unique style of warm Wyoming hospitality. The YL is open year-round and can accommodate up to 25-30 guests in summer and 20 in winter. Enter the YL and experience all the joys of ranch life and outdoor adventure – cycling (road, mountain, and gravel), fishing, tennis, swimming, and gourmet (sometimes fireside) meals.

We are located 4 miles from Routt National Forest. You'll arrive at the ranch headquarters and we will either take you to the sheep wagon or give you directions to it. The sheep wagon is nestled in an Aspen grove (on 56 acres) with a creek just 12 feet away. From there, you are 1/4 mile away from the national forest and the wilderness. There are thousands of acres to explore, either by hiking , biking or horseback riding. You are also just minutes away from great trout fishing lakes and streams. While here ask about ranch tours and visiting with our sheep, horses, cows and chickens! There will be cattle or sheep on the property with the sheep wagon. Please note that cell phone service is very limited in the area.

Experience the rustic charm of Rebel Ranch, where the beauty of the land meets the spirit of the wild. Our working ranch is home to a variety of animals, including horses, bison, and chickens. As you step onto our property, you'll immediately feel a sense of tranquility and connection to nature. There is not a bathroom available for campers on this property. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE RESTROOM USE, NUMBER 1 OR 2! If you are a tent camper you must have a portable toilet to use inside your tent and must pack it out with YOU. If you do not arrive with the appropriate toilet amenities or are seen using the restroom outside, you will be told to leave the property immediately and will not be refunded. There is a liability waiver copied at the bottom, by booking you are acknowledging and agreeing to that contract. One of the first things you'll notice is our friendly horses, who roam the property freely and are likely to come greet you during your stay. You'll have the opportunity to interact with these majestic animals, feeding them, haltering them, brushing them, and even cleaning their stalls. It's a hands-on experience that will deepen your appreciation for these incredible creatures. Next, you'll have the chance to get up close and personal with our bison. These massive animals are a sight to behold, and you'll have the opportunity to feed them treats, move their grazing pasture, and ensure they have fresh water. It's a rare chance to connect with these iconic animals in a meaningful way. And let's not forget about our chickens! You'll help feed and water them, collect eggs (you'll go home with a half dozen, with more available for purchase), and clean their coop. It's a fun and educational experience that will give you a new appreciation for where your food comes from. Throughout your day at Rebel Ranch, you'll be surrounded by stunning valley and mountain views, creating the perfect backdrop for your farm adventure. Whether you're looking for a hands-on experience or simply want to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside, Rebel Ranch has something for everyone.
