Snuggled into the folds of a lodgepole pine and aspen forest, Porcupine Campground comes pretty close to camping nirvana.
Each site is large and comes with plenty of shade and excellent wildlife viewing; there’s even firewood available (for a fee). Perfect for those with an appetite for bipedal exploration, the nearby Jaws trailhead makes it easy to dig into some fantastic and challenging hiking. At an elevation of over 8,000 feet, it’s bound to get chilly at night - bring a jacket, make use of that fire ring, and you won’t even notice.
