Our homestead is a judicious 20-acre mixture of meadow, woodland, orchard, gardens, and wild and cultivated berry patches.
Lots of opportunities to interact with wildlife (and my livestock dogs, haha), explore the woods and sit in the peace of wild things. Surplus eggs and extra seasonal produce (grown, foraged) for sale when available.
A very rewarding and strenuous hike leads you down into a beautiful secluded brook, with waterfalls and swimming holes. An absolutely magical spot you will most likely get to soak in in complete solitude. Other great hiking throughout our woods and nearby in Jamaica and Townshend state parks.

I called Emma the day of my stay for the information and she was super nice and informative/ let us know that she would be going out and returning in the evening. I had added a dozen fresh eggs and a firewood bundle to my stay when I booked it and she said she would bring it to us when she returned. Unfortunately her car broke down while she was out and didn’t return until 11pm so we never got our firewood. I definitely don’t blame her for this, we gathered whatever wood we could find so we were able to have a fire for a little bit. We were all a bit paranoid about leaving the site to check out the trails or find more wood because she had let us know about a “bear causing mischief” the night before lol. It was definitely a bit disappointing since one of the reasons we booked the site was to check out the waterfall. I’d also like to note that there is NO SERVICE! Which is totally fine if you’re looking for a true camping experience, we just weren’t able to get any of her messages about what was going on or where she was until we got home the next afternoon. She had tried messaging us about the car situation and let us know that she would be by in the late morning with our eggs, but we had to get up and leave in the early morning so we didn’t see the message or get the eggs. Emma was so nice about everything and I don’t blame her at all- we were still able to have fun and we made the most of the situation, I just don’t think I would personally stay here again.

It was nice and private. Plenty of swimming holes nearby to go dip in and keep cool.

My two boys and I stayed here to camp and ski. The host met us on our arrival and reached out to us during our stay. We had a great time!
