Description

Hovenweep National Monument is a haven for anyone interested in legendary archeology—it protects several archeological sites that are more than 700 years old. You can get to many of them by car, but consider setting up camp and taking a nice hike to fully appreciate this fascinating place. Lucky for you, there’s a campground right near the visitor center! Tents are the main game here, but there are a few spots that can handle RVs. While we’re talking about the nitty gritty details, know that there is drinking water available, but only during the summer months. There’s also a five gallon limit per person. If that doesn’t sound like enough H2O, be sure to bring more along for the ride.
