I need to know if I need to do reservation at the camping? and if I need to pay?
The Cottonwood Campground within Bear Lake State Park appears to be an old group site that was hastily converted into individual campgrounds. The tent sites are close, like stretch-out-your-arms-and-touch-your-neighbor-close, and there's very little privacy. The CG is billed as having trailer sites, but by "site" they mean "parking space", and you'll literally have to put your trailer between two yellow lines, and hope no one takes the spot next to you.
Beach access is close, the restrooms are relatively clean, and the on-site dishwashing stations are handy (albeit gross). The CG gets its namesake from the plentiful cottonwood trees, so if you have allergies you're better off in a different site. Bring bug spray in early-spring.
