The site was nice! I was so happy to have a last minute option. It is a site that his been leveled out of the side of the hill behind someone's home in a gorgeous mtn neighborhood. The views are great and it is really peaceful up there. They have a fire ring set up with 5-6 chairs around it, and a picnic table, bench, and some solar string lights that come on in the evening which is a nice touch. It seems to be a setup for when they have extra visitors at their home. There is a blind built between the site and the house next door, but the owner's (i think?) house is across the driveway w no blind. The only reservation I had about this was the toilet situation. Obviously they don't want people going on their property, so we brought a toilet setup for ourselves but there is really nowhere to put it and have any secure privacy, because there is private property on each side of the site and also a sign that says security cameras are in use around the host's home. So just be aware of that.
Otherwise it was a great little getaway from the city for the evening! Had a couple deer wander by in the morning while we enjoyed our coffee.

Bob and Kay were so lovely. The GROUP SITE on the East side of the property was absolutely wonderful! Beautiful old tree shade cover, access to the river, a freshly cleaned port-a-potty as well as the running water/how shower bathrooms. There were charcoal grills available for us to use, and they had set up some tiki torches and solar lights around the site as well. Beautiful view, lovely stay.

Camping at Glen Isle was so lovely! MaryRuth texted me to be sure she'd be around when I arrived, and was really helpful w directions. She was so accommodating and laid-back. The sites have port-a-potties that are really well maintained, and had hand sanitizer in them. The sites are so much larger than your regular groomed sites. Some are on a hillside, but there were still flat options available to pitch multiple tents. There is a fire ban, but the propane ring rental was a great option to have just a little heat and flames going. Would definitely come back again!
Past trip
in Hart Family Farm, ColoradoThe Hart farm was fantastic! We only stayed for a brief night, but my friend and I were super cozy, and we LOVED meeting all the animals. The cats and dogs were super sweet. We brought an extra wool blanket for warmth which was good, because we didn't want to run the heater all night (but so nice to have a heater to warm up the space in the evening and morning!). There is easy access to a downstairs private bathroom. Sara and family were so great and sweet and I am definitely keeping this in mind for the future.
Molly hasn't gone on any trips yet.
