Our stay at the treehouse was beyond wonderful. The host Joe and his assistant Melissa were so warm, friendly and helpful. The treehouse itself is what dreams are made of! It is so well appointed, quiet, secluded, peaceful.... the only sounds were of the rustling creek down below and birds chirping n the distance. There are towels, glasses and water, a fruit bowl, a charger for electronics, a powerful flashlight and remotes for some of the lights. The bed was incredibly comfortable with clean, new linens and tons of plush pillows. The views from the bed and the balcony are unbeatable It is glamping at its best and I would highly recommend a stay here.
A couple things worth noting are that where you park is a little bit of a walk to the actual treehouse, so pack accordingly- we could've packed a little lighter is all I'm saying! Also, the walk to the nice, clean communal bathrooms is about a 5 minute walk, so plan accordingly with that as well.
The rest of the resort is awesome, with bathrooms, showers, sink to wash dishes, a large grill/pizza oven and a wonderful outdoor pool with a walk up window to order food and treats.
This place is so awesome overall- my friend and I felt like we stepped onto a movie set in the past for a summer camp of some sort. Highly recommend a stay here!

Shirley Creek Retreat
in Shirley Creek Retreat, CaliforniaOur stay was short but sweet. The property is beautiful, with access to quiet, peaceful creekside sitting spots, a fire pit, horseshoes, a swing and more! We loved having our morning coffee and afternoon snacks out on the big patio, with lovely views. The inside was nice and appointed with everything you may want/need, but we honestly spent most of our time outdoors!
The Invisible Inn
in Stagecoach Stop, CaliforniaMagical experience!
My sister and I had a recent stay here that was was oh so wonderful! We were greeted upon arrival by the host Liz. She was so awesome, we fell instantly in love with her! Her and her partner Brad are down to earth people. After they showed us around, we were left to do our own thing and enjoy the surroundings. The cabin itself is impeccable, with thoughtful details. The bed was super comfy. A heater inside kept us warm. There were mirrors, a sitting area, a rack to hang clothes/hats/purses, and a book of tips for the local area. The outdoor space was equally as awesome. The spiral wood deck that they built themselves provides an amazing spot for some morning stretching. There's a small table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy the view and some drinks, as well as a counter/barstool area you can use to prepare food. We chose to take advantage of eating at several of the incredible restaurants that are all within walking distance! (We recommend Bob's Well Bread and Full of Life Flatbread for sure!) The bathroom is another perfectly crafted space with an outdoor shower, sink, and flushing toilet. Towels, soaps, and shampoos were provided. I would HIGHLY recommend staying at this cozy little cabin under the stars!
Stargazer Yurt at Luna Vista Ranch
in Luna Vista Ranch, CaliforniaMy sister and I just had the most amazing weekend here at this wonderful property! I really don't have enough good things to say about it... the hosts were wonderful and easy and quick to communicate with and the property itself far exceeded our expectations. You will find yourself surrounded by nature and sleeping under a million visible stars. The outdoor bath tub and bathroom area were complete luxury in the middle of a desert and the same could be said for the yurt. Raised above ground it was clean, beautifully decorated and even equipped with costumes, games, yoga mats, a hula hoop and so on! The outdoor seating/lounge area and large fire pit were also incredible. I really have not a single negative thing to say about tis place. So hurry up and book it if its available, I promise you won't regret it!
Vineyard Vintage Trailer Janis
in Vinyl Vineyards, CaliforniaOur recent stay in Janis, the hip retro airstream trailer was beyond fabulous! I was traveling with my mom, 2 kids and puppy and we all fit nice and cozy in the trailer! The inside of the trailer is decorated to the nines and every little detail and provision that you could think of was provided. Nice comfy bed with soft, plush bedding was an added bonus. The property itself is absolutely incredible! Situated on top of a hill, there are views for days, along with many outdoor seating areas to choose from to enjoy the views. We had the pleasure of meeting Dina, one of the hosts and she was lovely. We didn't get a chance to meet Jeffrey, but he was awesome and very communicative throughout our stay. This is a place that can accommodate large groups down to an intimate couple and I would highly recommend booking a stay here! We will be back again for sure!
Cabin on The Flat in Cambria
in The Flat in Cambria, CaliforniaOur recent stay was so wonderful! I was traveling with my mom and two kids and the cabin fit us all perfectly! There are so many great things about this property- the cabin itself was immaculate, provisions for coffee provided, and great loft up above to sleep two extra people and a super comfy bed down below. The bathroom/shower structure was equally fabulous! Two toilet ares, a big double head shower area in the middle and soap/shampoo provided. The grounds themselves were spectacular! So expansive with incredible views and plenty of room for tents/big groups, or smaller gatherings like ours. We enjoyed an amazing sunset in the evening and cozy morning fog. The camp is situated up above the town so you feel like you are way out in nature but yet just a few minutes walk from town. Buddy was an amazing host, giving us lots of tips on where to eat and things to explore. If only we had more time to take advantage of all his awesome suggestions! He was also super attentive and helpful, while giving us our space at the same time. Overall, I would say if you are looking for a place to stay in Cambria, stop your search here and book this place! You won't regret it, promise.

Whiskey Hollow
in R.H.Beecham Ranch since 1940, CaliforniaThis is a spot that I would say is more for the adventurous, up for anything type camper than the "glamping" type camper. My friend and I recently visited this camp and were driven in on a very bumpy, hilly ride in a beat up pick up truck to the camp location, by the host's son. The views and wildflowers along the way were beautiful. Once at camp, our stuff was unloaded and we were left to be. We arrived later in the evening and decided to walk up the hill a bit to see the beautiful views. There were cattle roaming in the field, which was awesome to see so up close and personal. After that we cooked dinner on the grill at camp and settled into a game of yahtzee and some girl talk. In the morning we watched the fog roll across the mountain tops, made some coffee and breakfast and waited for our ride to come pick us up before heading to our next destination. We also enjoyed a chat with the host Craig, who came down to check on us in the evening after he got home from work.
Here are some things I would advise future campers of: You most likely will choose to be shuttled in, so be clear with the host ahead of time on your arrival and departure times. Also, this is an area where cows are free to roam, which is awesome. But along with that brings many cow pies in and around the camp, so I would highly recommend wearing boots of some sort. Also, we arrived later in the evening and left early so it wasn't a problem for us, but if you are there mid- day there is little to no shade, with the exception of the tent itself, which may be hot during the summer months.
Whiskey Hollow is a beautiful, secluded location with wonderful views, best suited for the more adventurous type camper!
Lirio Cottage
in Enney's Ranch, CaliforniaMy sister and I had the most incredible stay at the cottage on Enney's Ranch! Where to start... well to begin with, the 1.5 mile drive up a dirt road to the property on the hill was incredible, with views of vineyards and rolling hills. We were then greeted by the host, Kenneth. He was so warm and friendly right of the bat! When we inquired, he gave us a bit of history about the property and how he ended up there, which was all very interesting! Then he gave us a brief tour of the cottage and the amenities, which included an ice chest filled with a bucket of ice and two wine glasses- perfect for the bottle of Tobin James we picked up on our way to the property! We enjoyed our wine and snacks on the patio, a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the views. Shortly after, the two dogs, Bandit and Blue, came down to hang with us and were SO well behaved! They watched us prep our dinner and snacks and never once tried to sneak any for themselves. At sunrise, we took a walk up past the main house, to a hilltop with 360 degree views of rolling hills, Oak Trees and Vineyards. We met Kenneth, his two kids and his friend up there and had a lovely chat with them before they left us on our own to enjoy the sunset. We cooked dinner around the campfire, with firewood provided by Kenneth and enjoyed the vast amount of stars that are visible at night. In the morning we were greeted by an incredible sunrise, with beautiful light filtering in through the windows. A highlight of the cottage was the semi-outdoor tub. A not to miss feature for sure! The cabin was well stocked with towels, cooking utensils, coffee, french press and so on. I highly recommend booking a stay here. You will leave wanting to go back again for sure!
Site 1 - Twisselmanâs Glamping by the Pond
in Twisselman Ranch, CaliforniaThis property and the hosts, Ethan and Adriane were so awesome! We started our visit with a nice meet and greet and chat with the them, learning the history of the land that has been in their family for generation after generation and already I was smitten by them and the place! Then we drove out to where the glamping tents were, near the pond, and I was instantly wowed by all the thought and detail that has gone into the two tents. There are comfortable beds in each, extra seating, lighting and even a citronella candle, box of tissue, fire started and batteries. No detail left out! After the initial tour, we were left alone to enjoy ourselves. We enjoyed wine and snacks on the patio of the tent, cooked our dinners over the grill, with firewood that Ethan provided for us, took some golden hour photos on the island of the pond, and eventually found ourselves late at night on the dock. This is by far the most magical, most memorable part of our stay... we sat out on the dock, first looking up and marveling at how many stars could be seen out there. But then we looked down, and to our surprise saw hundreds of stars, reflected in the pond water and racing about with the movement of the water. Looking up into infinity and then down into infinity was a sight I have never seen before and will never forget! The next morning we were awaken by a glorious sunrise view, right out our tent. We made breakfast, watched horses wander by in the field nearby and soaked it all in. Next, Ethan took us down to the stables and took us on a short horseback ride around the pen. We said our good byes and were on our way, but I will be back for sure! This property is big enough to accommodate large groups, or if you happen to get lucky like us, you may get the entire place to yourself to enjoy! Either way, you will love it!
