We had a great stay at birch gate campsite. We loved that there was a tent platform at our site, and a little stone table against a tree! There were a few other groups also camping, but our site was tucked back a little and separated by a low rock wall which was nice. Fire ring, water, and outdoor shower space were also included. Plus a friendly dog and goat that liked head scratches! Easy access to MDI and Acadia was a plus.
Past trip
in Eagles Aerie Sugar Shack, New HampshireI stayed at the sugar shack because I had surprise time away from work, and it was the perfect weekend getaway. It was SO cozy and comfortable (fancy camping by my standards), I loved being able to do a fire one night, and there was a full bathroom in the main house that I was able to use. Plus, Rickie makes breakfast on Sundays--what a luxury! She was so welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. I will 100% be staying here again :)
Past trip
in Camping Off The Grid -Barbour Farms, TennesseeCampfires, goats, cattle, oh my!
I had a great stay at Craigâs farm. Johnny, the friendly and kind farm manager, met me and helped me pick a campsite, plus provided water and info about the farm. I liked walking in the woods, watching the goats, and having a campfire. Since I camped near the farmhouse, I was also near the trash bins and port a potty, but other campsites are farther away, so just something to know in picking your site. Would come back here again! :)

We had a great stay at Jaimie's place! We were greeted by the friendliest doggo, shown our campsite, and able to fill up water. Our campsite was lovely: close to the creek, composting toilet, cow fields, and tree swings. Would recommend this spot, especially if you are heading to or from Austin! We also liked the walk to and from the campsite.

Site 6 - Freedom Field @ Milo Farm
in Milo Farm Sacred Land, MissouriFreedom field fireflies
I loved camping in freedom field on Loniâs farm. Her directions were clear, and when I had a question she came out to meet me and let me know where I could camp/what areas I could explore (a lot!). I enjoyed sitting in the hammocks, and I was the only camper in the field. It was so peaceful and beautifulâespecially with the multitude of fireflies illuminating the surrounding trees! Would definitely stay here again :)
Peaceful Pasture
in Where the grass is greener, WashingtonOpen field and sky full of stars
I enjoyed my stay at Juliaâs site, it was good for a quick stay while road tripping through! She gave clear directions (letting me know about recent barn construction starting in the field, which also helped me locate it), and had quick communication. You have the whole pasture to find a spot for your tent, but the electrical outlet is closer to the pasture entrance. It was ~30 min from I-90, but a min off the other main road. During the day youâll hear the train, cars, and birds, but at night it all quieted down, with only the occasional noises from coyotes or the nearby cattle. Plus the stars were lovey!

Site 6 - Maine Oceanfront Island Campsites
in Oceanfront Island Campsites, MaineOur stay here was better than I even anticipated. I knew it would be unique, but I didn't know how much we would love it! John was so kind and explained the site to us when we arrived. We rented a canoe from him to get to the island, which we used to explore in the surrounding area. Our site was nice, and there were composting toilets on the island. It was so beautiful, refreshing, and close to nature. I watched the lobster boats in the morning right from the shore! We can't wait to go back.
