Not all of the sites at Kettle Creek’s Upper Campground have electric hookups—but what this campground lacks in amenities it more than makes up for in scenic views. As the rustic campground overlooks the pretty Kettle Creek Reservoir below, you’ll be too busy picking your jaw up from off the ground to notice the lack of electric outlets.

If you are coming here to go kayaking, fishing, or star gazing then this is absolutely perfect. Wide open spaces, plenty of fish in the water, and one of the darkest places on the east coast. If you're here to hike, then you will be sorely disappointed. The trails are few and far between, and the only advertised Vista was an absolute pain to get to.
