The active farm lays along the lazy Marsh Creek not far from where it collides with the mighty Bald Eagle. Campsites are spaced out along the creek, in the fields, and on the mountain. Fish on any of the three streams, relax by the water or enjoy view of the cattle and wildlife. Bald Eagle State Park, State College, and Lock Heaven are a short distance away.
Camping at Matt's site is an experience filled with serene settings and nature's beauty. Visitors repeatedly mention the peacefulness, the delightful presence of wildlife, and the convenience of nearby attractions like Bald Eagle State Park. The host, Matt, is frequently praised for his responsiveness and hospitality, which enhances the overall camping experience. While the majority of reviews highlight the privacy and tranquility of the location, there's a consistent appreciation for the practical amenities available, making it a relaxing getaway.
Very easy to book. All accommodations and requests met. Beautiful, quiet setting. Firewood on hand, huge fire ring and plenty of bench seating, picnic table on site.
Spur of the moment escape to Matt's land, first time hipcamping! Perfect directions, secluded just enough, and the firewood bundles that we bought ahead of time made everything so easy. Our host was very nice, but everything was detailed so nicely, we didn't need to bother him except to check-in when we arrived.
I always enjoy camping here! I was excited to see that Matt had created a new spot The first time I camped here was at the Cornfield site in the spring when the corn was not high yet. This spot is in the general vicinity of that one but it's a totally different experience having the corn be high! I highly recommend it. I couldn't ask for more, it's easy to get to, plenty of space, a beautiful stream on one side, and a big tall beautiful cornfield on the other! The bar high table is a nice touch too. Looking forward to being back here real soon!
Friendly host that shows you parking and way up the campsite. Beautiful and simple campsite! Right in the middle up the woods on top of a hill up a walk from the parking in the cornfields below. Would recommend
