Guests have access to the entire house, use of the yard, propane grill, fire pit, 3 kayaks, a canoe, and a 2 paddle boats.
Guests are also able to enjoy walking the private road around the lake.
Bug Spray is provided but feel free to bring your own. I supply the brand OFF.
Please respect any neighbors, property, and obey all posted signs.
Guests will not have access to the shed.
Please be respectful of the camp as I am opening my getaway home to share its beauty with you. All I ask is you respect and treat it as your own.
Rural, secluded, wooded area in Amish country, roads are shared with horse and buggies please use caution. Then road to the camp is accessible by gravel/dirt private road. Blind curves and narrow road, again please use caution.
Camp is located not too far from exploring surrounding areas like Black Lake, the Thousand Islands, Canada, Sackets Harbor, Clayton, Alexandria Bay and Watertown, and the Adirondack Park. They all are within a day's travel.
The water is supplied by a spring fed well and is perfectly safe to drink, shower, and cook with.
The lake is private and unfortunately offers no public access for motorized boats.

It is located where there was once an old stone barn, and all that is left is the stone foundation. Set around shrubbery trees, with two big maples at the parking spot to provide shade and coverage. Please be respectful of the camp as I am opening my getaway home to share its beauty with you. All I ask is you respect and treat it as your own.
Rural, secluded, wooded area in Amish country, roads are shared with horse and buggies please use caution. Then road to the camp is accessible by gravel/dirt private road. Blind curves and narrow road, again please use caution.
Camp is located not too far from exploring surrounding areas like Black Lake, the Thousand Islands, Canada, Sackets Harbor, Clayton, Alexandria Bay and Watertown, and the Adirondack Park. They all are within a day's travel.
The water is supplied by a spring fed well and is perfectly safe to drink, shower, and cook with.
The lake is private and unfortunately offers no public access for motorized boats.

We offer primitive tent campsites. No electric or toilets are available at this time. However, we can offer a number of services and rentals, including all of the camping gear you could need. Want the fun of camping without the half day spent setting up? Let us know, we'll have a tent ready and waiting with cots, camp kitchen and supplies ready to go!
Most of the property is woods (pine plantation and natural hard wood forest) crisscrossed by park like trails. You can count on finding some peace and solitude if that is what you desire. Also, there are many state parks, preserves, lakes, rivers and other enjoyable attractions nearby. Our hilltop campsite is a dark site, and you can get a wonderful, clear view of the stars!

This place was great! Just enough space for 4 adults and 3 kids to stay comfortably. The cottage was nice and clean and very affordably priced. Also really close to Old McDonald's Farm for fun kid activities. Very nice and helpful office staff as well as campground residents :)

I had the pleasure of staying here for the night, and it was a wonderful experience! Even though I booked very last minute, I felt completely welcomed. While I didn’t get the chance to meet Nicole in person, I had a great conversation with David, who was incredibly accommodating and down-to-earth. He made me feel right at home (away from home).
I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

I was in the Potsdam area for several days and found this gem on hipcamp. The site is at the corner of a huge hayfield. No other people in sight, although some deer did wander across the far edge of the field one evening.
I went over and met the sheep and cows. That is definitely an add on to consider for this site.
Coffee at Park Bagels in Canton is super convenient, and if you are in a rush, there is a Tim Horton's nearby.

Friendly hosts. Very friendly dogs. Lovely spectacle of a parade of chickens joining in as the pigs got fed in the morning. Hosts greeted us, showed us around, and kept in touch but otherwise left us to enjoy ourselves.

Clean, neat, well maintained. Beautiful camping spot, electric (our pup was thankful for the air conditioning in 90+ degree temperatures). Easily accessible to multiple state parks in the area. Would also recommend visiting Henderson, Henderson Harbor, Sackett’s Harbor, Cape Vincent, Clayton. Alex Bay was much more “old boardwalk, touristy, kinda commercial” than I remembered from 20 years ago. Really fun weekend ~ Grandjean was as advertised ~ thank you!!

About
Grass Point State Park offers a two-story cottage with all the homestyle flare to make you snug as a bug, even though the bugs are kept outside. This fancy cottage boasts a bathroom with a shower, kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, cooking and eating utensils. Bedding, pillows and linen are also provided. At dusk, sip some tea from the screened in porch to watch the sunset over the river. It'll be so beautiful you may even venture outdoors for a dip!
For those craving a bit more hands-on communion with nature, Grass Point also has many campsites to experience the Great Outdoors. Build a campfire with some locally sold wood, or go for a swim at one of the beach and bathing spots. Boats are welcome, and can be rented onsite at the marina.
