We have two private sites, a primitive campsite directly on the Lake of the Ozarks, and a RV spot with full hook-ups (water, 50 amp AC, and sewer). The two sites are separated from each other, but both have access to the lake, including kayaks, a canoe, a paddleboat, excellent fishing, a boat-ramp, floating dock and a one-mile perimeter nature/hiking trail.
*** NOTE *** From January until early May, the lake level is dropped about five (5) feet, so boating and fishing access range from difficult to impossible (though, arrowhead hunting is a fun activity you might enjoy during the low water months!).
Primative Campsite - A private 1.5 acre campsite with a firepit (and plenty of wood to burn in it) and direct access to the Lake of the Ozarks. Amenities and features of the campsite include: a private camp toilet with a door and a concrete pad, picnic table on a gravel pad with an umbrella, a fully equipped cornhole game, fishing pole holders, a garbage can and three (3) level wood tent platforms.
RV site - the RV site also has a picnic table with umbrella, a garbage can and a fully equipped cornhole game. Nearby, the RV site also has access to a very nice private pit toilet, a gazebo with lights and an electrical outlet, and a firepit stocked with firewood.

What started as a simple love of backyard chickens has now become a dream farm for Tracey Durant and her husband Theodore. Nestled in the valley between two forest covered hillsides, and running adjacent to Clearwater Creek on the east and the Lake on the south, D'Ranch could not have been a more perfect location for the Durant's to plant their roots and get their feet wet.
While they continue their love of backyard chickens with their small egg and hatchery operation, they have expanded their interests to an array of friendly farm animals including horses, milk cows, pigs, sheep, ducks, geese, and an occasional turkey or two. Camping is primitive with only an outhouse and no shower facilities. There are MANY thorn trees, so hikers must have proper footwear. Fire ring, wood and a grate for cooking are provided. Livestock encounters are also available with owners in attendance. All proceeds are put back in the farm to care for the animals and the land. Parking area is at the end of the driveway and a cart is provided to take your gear across the bridge. We love kids and will provide lawn darts or any other games we have available if requested. Located only 50 miles SE of Kansas City, MO! We have woods and pasture with Settle's Ford Wildlife area (fishing and hiking available) 1/4 mile away. Camping is primitive with only an outhouse and no shower facilities. There are MANY thorn trees, so hikers must have proper footwear. Fire ring, wood and a grate for cooking are provided. Livestock encounters are also available with owners in attendance. All proceeds are put back in the farm to care for the animals and the land. Parking area is at the end of the driveway and a cart is provided to take your gear across the bridge. We love kids and will provide lawn darts or any other games we have available if requested. This is a very lovely upscale cabin. The hosts have thought of supplying every amenity, and designed the exterior and interior with appropriate materials, construction techniques, and beautiful decor and detailing. I was just staying there with my son Michael; but the cabin could easily accommodate 5-6 guests. I really enjoyed staying there, and plan to go back sometime soon.

Super quiet area! Booked a tent site and was told I could park in a gravel rv spot as we were just needing a place to park and sleep in our van, super great upgrade! The place was super quiet and pretty views. Shower/bathroom was great. Only issue was the entrance as the bridge was flooded out (no fault of the host) but the other entrance was very steep gravel roads, but it was drivable and the bridge was cleared in a day. The spots were super clean and we were the only people there! River access is super steep but toward the bridge there is a mini beach that is super cute and fun. Overall this was a great spot to get for a couple nights of van-camping.

Our site was clean and perfectly level, and waking up to the gorgeous view of the Ozark lake in the morning was absolutely stunning. I stayed here for one night during a three-day cross-country journey, and it was worth going a bit off the highway to be right on Lake of the Ozarks. Though I arrived late, the host responded immediately with access codes, making check-in seamless.
The attention to detail at this property is impressive. Each site has a brick parking pad and picnic table, plus Adirondack chairs and a fire pit positioned to overlook the water. Even arriving after dark, I took a few moments to sit by the fire pit and enjoy the twinkling lights from the surrounding docks - so peaceful after a long day of driving.
The restroom facilities were exceptionally clean and well-designed. Each one is completely private with its own sink, toilet, and shower, plus a bench and plenty of hooks - much more comfortable than typical campground bathrooms.
The next morning before heading out, I walked around and saw ducks taking flight from the dock area. The property has beautiful amenities including a large shared fire pit, a kitchen/bar pavilion, and a pool. While everything was quiet in the off-season, I could easily imagine how wonderful this place would be during peak summer months.
Highly recommend Paradise Point for a peaceful lakeside stop, whether you’re passing through or planning a longer stay!

My fiancé, our dog, and I had the best time tent camping on Travis’s land. He was extremely welcoming, which made our stay that much better. Travis was also very communicative and his directions made finding the site easy as pie. We weren’t entirely sure what to expect as first time Hipcampers, but I don’t think we will ever tent at a state park again. It was so quiet and peaceful! Needless to say, the next time we make it down to the Ozarks, we will be tenting here again!!

I've tent camped at D'Ranch several times. Ted and Tracey are always the best! Chose a cabin this time. Perfect for my needs. Basic with no electric or running water. Port a john nearby. Great place to relax. Good place to see some wildlife.
