Wanna find what’s rad in Ohio?

A stay at John Bryan State Park is a good start! Referred to as the most scenic park in the state, you can bet your camp lovin’ tushies that your camera will be your best bud. I’m talking the “written in rocks” Little Miami River, the limetone walled Clifton Gorge, and hello! Rock climbing. Camp under the trees in the forested campground for a must needed extended stay. Hike, fish, canoe, no better way to be alive. And all John Bryan asks of you is to explore, explore, explore.

Nice groomed walk-up campsite. Though not very private, you can pitch a tent right next to your car and the bathrooms were clean.

Small, quiet campground with my favorite spots on the back, left hill, near the upper hiking trail. Hike the lower picnic area trail through JBSP into Clion Gorge for breathtaking views of waterfalls and the little Miami river. Have breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Clifton Mill for a country meal with an incredible view. Miles of hiking in either direction. Heading west through the group camping area will lead you into the Glen Helen Nature preserve, through the pine forest, and to the yellow spring. Yellow Springs is one of the coolest small towns in the U.S! Saturday Farmers market in the Kings yard, ye olde Trail Tavern and a visit to the Winds or Aleta's Cafe are just a few great stops. Beautiful public art and quaint, eclectic shops!

Low key and perfect for those not wanting to be surrounded by RV's. Smallish campground and fairly primitive - No showers or flushing toilets and minimal running water accessibility. RV spaces and tent camping areas are on opposite sides of the park. A great spot for bike packers to rest for a night and not far from Yellow Springs, OH.

No private campsites . . . Obviously.

We camped here a couple times this summer. The majority of the sites are open and very few are primitive. Minutes away from the town of Yellow Springs makes this campground ideal and you're bound to meet a few friendly neighbors. The campground office also stocks firewood, food, and clothing.
