You’ll never want to go to bed at Whitefish Lake campground, the adventure and recreation capital of Glacier Country.

But when you’re beat from hiking Whitefish trail or waterskiing across flat Whitefish Lake for hours on end, you’re going to need a place to rest your head. This campground has plenty of sites just a hop away from the shore, with all the facilities, grills, fire rings and wood to make the night at Whitefish Lake almost as fun as the day.

Nice small campground; amenities kept up well and the beach is a nice place to picnic and hang out. The trains may or may not bother you; I find them far less annoying than loud generators or people. Some sites in the upper loop are quite cramped if you have a tent since they're mostly asphalt pad. The campground has some of the best hiker biker sites I've come across; they even have a Park repair stand.

Three important things to know about this campground... amazing location, very clean, and near railroad tracks. The campground is on the edge of Whitefish, MT which is an amazing place. The lake is beautiful and there are multiple places to rent SUPs and kayaks. They rope off a portion of the lake for the park. The campground restrooms and amenities are very well kept. The staff truly takes pride in park. The trains are an issue for some because they run all day and night. I always bring a pair of earplugs when I go tent camping to block out the noise. They do the trick.
