One of three trails can be hiked to this tiny peak-teetering cabin, none of which are recommended for kiddos, just full sized adventurers. It comes equipped with an outdoor restroom, platform beds, a woodstove, and there’s a small spring located near the cabin. An otherwise backcountry experience means you’ll need to haul in your finest glamp style beddings, cuisine, water, and don’t forget the TP! A primitive place with views that take your breath away, the lookout on Mt. Wam is certainly an adventure.

The tent sites are close enough to the highway where you can hear some traffic, but it usually quiets down in the evening. We are 5 minutes from Whitefish/Big Mountain, 15 minutes from Glacier National Airport, about 45 to Glacier National Park, and about 30 minutes to Flathead Lake. Plenty of things to see and do nearby!
