Cheboygan Campground

Cheboygan is a great park in an interesting part of the state. It is right on Lake Huron as are some of the sites. So here's what I liked about the park: great showers and the swimming beach is excellent. Because it's on a bay the water is warm and super clear so the sandy beach is a great place to enjoy the water . And, on a clear day you can see the Mackinaw Bridge from the beach. Faint, but it's there.
Now, the not so good: most sites that are on the water tend to be shallow and swampy, lots of vegetation so not suitable for swimming or wading. The sites seem quite close together especially the person across the road from you. And finally, the beach is about 2 miles or from the campground.
