There are additional various locations tucked into nooks for small tent and hammock camping. Short wooded trails for dog walks. Build a fire for enjoyment, or swivel the 30” grill top over, to cook. Campfires permitted. Wood for sale on-site is $5 per bundle — mix of pine, oak, maple, ash, and poplar. The randomly dispersed hammocks are perfect for relaxing, watching sunsets through the tree line or reading a book with the morning birds. Pet friendly. 25-foot tie-out cable available for use anywhere on the property. No dump stations or bathrooms on site. The site is about 2 minutes from the nearest gas station and less than 10 from a grocery store and other shopping. Best suited for van life or small drive able campers or extremely talented travel trailer drivers as the site will require you to back in from the main road between a gate. Seen in photos. With the original home built in 1785, Milk Thistle farm is on the historic register and is comprised of the main house and 5 acres of land. It is run as a small non-profit animal sanctuary and is home to rescued chickens, goats, and pigs, as well as two humans and their dog and cat companions. The main property is fenced in, with a large back field great for tent camping, and an orchard to explore that can also double as hammock camping. There is parking for cars and bikes. We try to minimize our impact on the environment as much as possible, and encourage our guests to compost, recycle, and dispose of waste accordingly. Please note we have dogs, including a Livestock Guardian Dog that does bark to alert us of new people and warn off would be predators. We are pet friendly and 420 friendly (dispensary’s are close by). Free use of our kayaks, canoe and paddle board. Free firewood when available. Free WiFi, Water and 20 amp hookup. Free use of our Blackstone style grill and griddle as well. Campers need to know that our property is on a fairly busy street and can be loud at times (we do supply free earplugs for our guests).

Overall a great place to camp for a rare oceanfront experience. The pros: Great views, beautiful beach with amazing sunsets, bike paths and swimming. The cons: Lax security, not very clean and things can get a bit noisy with generators and such. None of the sites have electricity and there is shared water. There are only a few "private" sites available with most sites being very open. But in all honesty, the beauty trumps it all. It is still well worth a visit. Plan ahead as waterfront sites are hard to book. BUT.... I have found if you check availabilty regularl, it's possible to snag a site laat minute after some inevitable cancellations. RECOMMENDED.
