Beartown Campground

Come summer or winter, Beartown State Forest has got 12,000 acres for you to explore which more than makes up for any lack of acreage you might own in downtown Boston. With wildlife and recreation galore, camping here cannot be beat. Tucked in the woods the campground sits on a slope that leads to the 35 acre Benedict Pond, fit for a splish splash with your best buds. Some sites even border the shoreline, lending an ornate and relaxing view. Many trails weave throughout the park, including the one and only Appalachian Trail. When the snow starts to fall, activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling can be enjoyed here. All seasons, all fun, all the time.
