Nestled in a "holler" just outside of the city, the Alma Acres Farm (est. in 2016) hides from the bustle but is close enough to make an easy trip into town. The house here was built in 1941, owned by one family until our purchase a few short years ago. Alma Acres has a lot of wooded area to explore, about 3 of the 4 acres are saturated with Oak, Beech, Maple and a few other tree varieties. Wild blackberries grow here in July and we have grapevines, honeysuckle, perslane and more. Our enclosed garden is home to our food harvest, an experiment in permaculture and sustainable farming. The chickens here give us our eggs, and a few hours of entertainment. Yes, they all have names!
