This 5 acre homestead was originally homesteaded in the 1890s. It is still an active farm with goats, sheep, turkeys, chickens, guardian livestock dogs, cats and one Chihuahua. There is also several permaculture/orchard areas, berry patches and a large garden. We do offer 1 hour agritourism activities like farm tours, baby "Goat Yoga" and "Baby Goat Playtime" by reservation via the website.
The area campers use is outside the barn yard, in the South orchard. Near the county road and parking lot. We're less than 30 minutes from the Kingston or Bainbridge Island ferry. 5 minutes from downtown Poulsbo, less than that from Central Market (the best grocery ever!).
At this time, I do not have space for car camping or drive in campers, it is a walk in only site. Also, we are under burn ban, so no fires.
** Please note ** this is an active farm. There are roosters and dogs, they are not close to you, but you can hear them depending on where they might be. And, they are not mindful of the time. We are also one property away from Bond Rd, so there can be road noise.Pitch your tent in a quaint orchard & berry patch. Wake up to the pleasant sounds of farm animals. The tent camping is a very short walk from the parking area, where the portable toilet is located. The Southfarling is outside, but near the barnyard. Please note that on Saturdays, we do need the full parking area from 930am to about 315pm. If you are planning on being on site during this time, we do have an alternative parking space for you, just let me know.
