Under the gaze of Mt. Baring sits a camping lot with cedar sauna, kitchen sink, power, and composting toilet. This Sky Valley Property is in a lovely community on the banks of the wild Skykomish River between Index and Skykomish. A great basecamp for climbing, biking, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, exploring or just relaxing. Enjoy mountain views, big cedar trees, and nearby river access. Your stay at the camp also gives you access to a cedar sauna.Sky Valley Camp boasts views of Mount Baring and a "shed" containing a sauna, sink, and compost toilet. The Camp is a quiet and private RV and tent lot next to a Fairy Tale A-Frame house also available for rent. The Camp is surrounded by trees and in a quiet neighborhood on the Skykomish River. Sky Valley Camp is a short ten minute drive to rock climbing and rafting in Index. Mountain biking and skiing at Stevens Pass is just 25 minutes up the road. There is river access just a 3 minute walk from the camp spot with a nice beach and swimming hole. The site has two RV plug-ins available and an extension cord. There is cell reception but not wifi. Water is available via spigots and a hose as well as in the sink in "the shed."

Sky Valley Camp
I loved the area we stayed in!! It was super cute property and it was pretty well kept! She had instructions on how to work everything and even how to get to the river! It's not as secluded as the pictures look (it's in a small neighborhood) but still the area is super cute and I loved it!!!

Highly recommend!
I highly recommend Sky Valley Ranch if you’re ever in the area. Located close to town, swimming and hiking trails ranging from difficult to easy and kid-friendly. Don’t forget to stop by Sky Valley Scoops in Skykomish for delicious homemade ice cream. Meredith was amazing. Communicated quickly and provided little amenities that helped you feel at home. She was quick to inform us of burn bans due to the fires and answered all of our questions throughout our stay. The little red shed was adorable and provided a compost toilet, sink and little amenities that guests may have forgotten. Dont forget bug spray! The mosquitoes were bad intermittently. We are already planning our next trip

Get up early to ski, use the sauna.
Meredith’s place is 25 miles from Stevens, but no matter how close I stay, I can never get up there before the lot is full. We made the best of it and enjoyed ourselves nonetheless. I didn’t wind up using the sauna, but it is super clean in there. She was a great communicator and super accommodating. I’d recommend and my dog would too.

Sky Valley Camp
Nice, but not as remote as it looks
We tent camped in the rain in December, so we appreciated the sauna, indoor kitchen, bathroom and covered porch. We did not realize from the photos that the site is a lot in a neighborhood which did not feel as remote as the pictures looked. Would be a nice spot for an rv, but tent camping felt a little odd in a neighborhood.

Sky Valley A-Frame
We had the perfect autumn weekend at the Sky Valley A-Frame. Meredith is a great Host - excellent communication and thoughtful details. The A-Frame is so cozy that it was hard to leave, but I'm glad we did as we spent a few hours at the river, which is just a short walk away. Sitting around the fire at night after an afternoon and evening among the gorgeous fall leaves was PNWonderful. We hope to be back.
