Private camp on 18 acres, ideal for small groups, families and couples. There is one main camp with a fire pit, one picnic shelter, and a tiny building that can be stayed in easily if necessary. It's still only one group at a time so you get the campground when booking the site. Guests love it here: "This campsite is pure magic and the host was wonderful, hospitable, kind and accommodating. Highly recommended for anyone needing time to center themselves, and or have a great time with friends and family."Private camp on 18 acres in the Olympics on the Hood canal. One main camp with a fire pit, picnic shelter and a tiny building. The camp is up a steep 200ft dirt driveway, so 4x4 or all-wheel drive may be necessary, especially if it is rainy. There is parking down below.  Other than my own cabin through the woods (you can just see the roof of my cabin and hear my chickens. I'm up a different driveway) it's totally private. The star gazing can be amazing, and the birds and wildlife are abundant, especially since the Olympic Mtns and Parks are right here. I'm working on better R/V parking and turn arounds, but it's still not ideal for long/low rigs.  I'm easy to get a hold of and glad to accommodate . The camp can be glamping for a couple or small family as the cabin can be heated and made into a full-size bed platform (no mattress).  There is a steep trail just above the camp that has a great views down to the bay.  The upper camp is great for lots of tent campers in SUV's because there is shelter. Campers and R/V's are fine in a spot just below the camp. The camp is primitive but has a tiny building so it can be great for thru hikers, bicyclist, motorcycle or people car camping.

Camping with our family and two lab
Tent · With kids
This spot was great for our family of 7 plus two dogs. We appreciated the outhouse toilet, the shelter where we cooked and prepared our food, the potable water jug that Brian filled for us, and the little cabin with tables and seats where we ate and played board games as a family. Brian gave us easy to follow directions. I would recommend this spot to all our family and friends and we would definitely camp here again. Close to the river and ocean.

We had an amazing time camping at Rutabaga Ridge! The campsite was beautiful with plenty of space for multiple tents if needed, a few little walking trials, creek and two shelters. The old truck was a major hit with our toddler. Brian even messaged to check in when he saw we might be expecting rain. We will definitely be back!

This site has a large camping area, and it's tucked away from the road/neighborhood so pretty quiet. Host was quick to respond, and helpful! Great experience!

Great Spot for groups
Tent · With pets
This is a great spot for a group! The shelters and tables were useful prepping food and for hanging out. It felt private and the right balance of shade and grass. Would camp here again.
