We acquired the 22+ acre property to develop a nursery for Chinese medicinal plants, and we grow a small market garden and bring plants and vegetables to the local farmers' market. Learn more about this land: We are less than five miles from the highway between Omak and Tonasket. The county-maintained road up to the 22 acre property runs through a beautiful canyon (McLaughlin Canyon). Deer, eagles, coyotes, and more wildlife (there are rattlesnakes in the area as well). Wide views all around - to the West are the Cascades. Lots of space to hike, and climbing opportunities as well. We are developing gardens and a nursery for Chinese medicinal plants, starting this year (2018). Your host can introduce you to Chinese herbal medicine. Serene Amazing Views
19 ft campervan
Nicos property is an absolute gem. The drive up the canyon is breathtaking. Nice flat camp spot for our van. Sweet pup willing to shower you with love but will give you space if you want it. Nico shared his passion for medicinal gardening. Very inspiring. And the amazing sunset capped off a beautiful evening.

Nicolaas is super friendly, kind, and flexible. I really enjoyed our conversation. His dog was totally chill, completely unconcerned with my arrival. The views of the cascade mountains are spectacular. Hartelijk dank, Nicolaas!

The sites and views from Nicolaas' property are astounding. It's a quiet place with gorgeous sunsets and dark sky nights. Roads around the area are terrific for gravel road biking! Nicolaas is a warm and generous host.

Camping with pets trifecta
Tent · With pets
Camping at Nicolaas’ place is a photographers paradise, a life-learners sweet dream, and a stargazers heaven. Nicolaas is a true renaissance man with an intrepid desire to share his knowledge and experiences with anyone with respectful curiosity. I am indebted to him for sharing his garden, his vast knowledge of Chinese herbs, and taking the time to reconnect me with plants. Thank you Nicolaas. His companion DD was a gracious doggie host, and is quiet, kind and dutiful. One night is not enough. The Community garden in Tonasket Nico helped start is also worth a visit. May you too soak in the quiet wide sky splendor.

A secluded gem
Nicolaas and his dog Dede were the best hosts. The stay on the property was a great opportunity to get away from it all. And the views were amazing! I only wish I would have been able to stay longer.
