Mamas Garden River Getaway is a super secluded dry campsite along the South Fork of the Nooksack River. We have about 1.25 miles of riverside hiking/biking trail. The campsite has great views of the Twin Sisters, amongst Cedar/Big Leaf Maples, on a working family farm. Seasonal river activities too.With a great view of the TwinSisters mountains to the East and the South Fork of the Nooksack in your back yard, you can enjoy our hike-bike trail system and even seasonal fishing and swimming. Listen to the coyotes howl at the passing train at night, or watch eagles fly along the river. So much to see. Be sure to stop by the Mamas Garden for fresh produce, eggs, and meat.

Mamas Garden River Getaway

This was an unexpected and awesome experience. We were traveling down from Canada and campgrounds were full due to holiday weekend. Mama’s Garden came up on Hip Camp and I would go out of my way to avoid the parks and stay here again. Secluded, short hike to a river, firewood waiting for us and a chance to enjoy fresh vegetables, fruits and eggs from the roadside stand. PERFECT.

Amazing!!!!!!

We absolutely LOVED tent camping at Mama's!!! It's incredibly private and was totally safe for our two dogs to be off leash the entire time, around the site and at the river. The river access is assessable via an easy trail thru the woods. We tied ropes to intertubes so our kiddos could have fun in the currents without floating too far in the gentle current. Endless fun! River shoes were perfect on the rocky beach. Unbelievably beautiful location. We are so excited to return!!!

Mamas Garden River Getaway

Second time here.

Loved the isolation. Close to the river was nice on a warm day. Thank you for the firewood bundle and included kindling. Port-a-potty was really nice and clean, could’ve used some hand sanitizer. Dog loved it, he was off leash the whole time.

Mamas Garden River Getaway

Great spot!

Great site! The site is private and clean. Like it says, it is on a farm so expect farm smells. The walk to the river is easy and my dog and I loved it. The site is thoughfully laid out and the ports potty was pristine. I will be back.

Mamas Garden River Getaway

This was a return visit for us, we love hanging out near the river. The site has great shade cover, lots of space and a clean porta potty.

Mamas Garden River Getaway

This private campsite was delightful. Our prepaid firewood was there waiting when we arrived. Matthew came by briefly to check that everything was satisfactory. The porta potty was very clean, and the view from the campsite was lovely. We brought chairs, etc to the river and felt safe leaving them there as we came and went during the weekend. No one else in sight ... probably because the water was pretty low. We had a wonderful time and, yes, I recommend Mama's Garden campsite 👍🏻😊
