We were among the first groups to stay at this site.
Pros: Gail was a welcoming, considerate, and generous hostess. Great communicator. She made us feel right at home and offered us the use of her bathroom, shower, and garbage facilities. If I were ranking just the hostess, I would give this place five stars! Gail is lovely. Also, the grass was nice and soft and the ground is level, which was great for tent pitching.
Cons: When we booked the site, we envisioned a private, out of the way, space near the woods and water. We arrived to find that our site was in the hostess’s front yard, just a few feet from her house. This was a little awkward for us, as we felt a bit like we were infringing.
Upshot: If you’re looking for a gracious hostess, access to indoor plumbing, and a soft, safe place to pitch a tent, this place will do just fine. If you’re looking for a quiet, private, woodsy natural experience, better to look elsewhere.
