We have an open four acre field with lots of shade trees that is regularly mowed and manicured; it comes with 575 feet of private Cowlitz River access on Horseshoe Bend near Castle Rock, Washington. Relax and enjoy the serenity or go fishing! Depending upon the season, you can fish from our bank for steelhead, salmon, smelt and sometimes even sea run cutthroat trout! Fishing does vary depending upon the time of year. Go online to www.wdfw.gov for legal requirements and https://www.mytpu.org/community-environment/fish-wildlife-environment/cowlitz-fish-report for further fish run details. You can bring your own fishing gear and bait, or rent from us for a small fee. Bring your kayak, canoe or just float the river. Shuttle service is also available for a small fee. There are also many birds to watch: bald eagles, golden eagles, Canadian geese (with their babies in the spring), osprey, hummingbirds, chicadees, nuthatches and many more...at Riverbend Retreat you really can just get away from it ALL and unwind!
