Learn more about this land: When you arrive you will drive up to your campground destination which is 16 acres of Loblolly Pine trees. There is a 1 1/2 acre pond stocked with Catfish, Bass, Crappies, Brim and Shell Cracker. Also there are two smaller ponds with minnows and one is home to Tucker the Turtle 🐢 . We have several trails on the property to walk as well. You are welcome to 🐠 fish for dinner but we ask that you notify your host if you want to keep some fish. Otherwise please practice catch and release policy. Each site will have a fire ring available. We are AUTISM Friendly 💙,so if you have a camper that needs a little more encouragement about camping or other accommodations please let your host know. You are welcomed to bring your furry family members, bikes and kayaks. We are only 35 minutes from Carter’s Mountain, Monticello and Jefferson Winery’s. Thistle Gate Winery is only 5 minutes away and 20 minutes to Scottsville were you can enjoy the James River. UVA sports complex is only 30 minutes away and your able to go the back way in to skip the gridlock of the traffic. There so much more within 30 to 45 minutes of this camping area I can’t list it all. They really enjoy extra bread or crackers tossed there way so please help yourself to feeding them. We have several trails on the property to walk as well. You can back in pull in or some pull through. Also if you are new at parking your trailer and need some help we will be glad to assist you. Please remember for every tent and RV that counts as a site.

50 amps. We offer electricity hookup for 50 and 30 amps. Most of our sites are full hookups. We still have several that does not have sewer. But we have a mobile honey pot. Also a dump station for when you check out.

On-site hookup. up by the wood pile and the green trash can which is on your way out. If you do not pay for hookups this will be a separate fee of 20.00 . Otherwise if you have hookups upon leaving or if you need to dump during your stay we have a mobile dolly that you may use to empty your tank.

We do have WiFi around the camping area. May not be available at every spot.

Generators not allowed

Please be kind to your neighbors , keep in mind the noise of your generator. We do have enough space that we can keep enough distance hopefully to not have any problems. Please keep in mind that there are tent campers and at night when it’s quite they can hear everything. If you have any issues with your generator please let your host know. We may be able to assist you with a problem. All generators need to be turned off by 9pm.

Firepit. Wood is available to purchase in a bag for 10.00 or if you are here for more than one night you can purchase a plastic tote of wood for 20.00. We also have kindling in a bag for 5.00. If you want to do s’mores with your camp Fire we also have a s’mores kit that you can purchase as well. We take cash or we do have a Venmo account that you can use as well.

Pets allowed

On leash. Please cleanup after your pet. Also keep in mind if there are other pets around as well . If you cleanup after your pet please dispose of it in the trash.

Potable water available

Spigot, hose, bottled water or jugs. There is a water source by the cabin at the back of the deck.

Showers available

Hot water , cold water only. Outdoor Shower Is available at this time. There is a hot water on demand. So if you just want to fill your shower bag you can . We have a chair a table to sit your items on.

Bins available

Compost bin, recycling bin, trash bin. There is a green dumpster down from the playground

Picnic table present

There are several picnic tables at the commons area that you may use. Please also keep in mind that if we can help make your stay here easier please let the host know. We are also AUTISM Friendly. If you have a guest that may need some extra encouragement in reference to camping here we will do what it takes to make it happen. Please let Michelle know before you arrive.

Wifi available

It is better signal closer to the cabin area. The password is GONEFISHN, all caps. We don’t have control over the signal strength.

There is also a laundromat about 15 minutes away in the town of Scottsville. We do understand emergency situations happen so if you do need to use the washer and dryer we can work it out. Fee will apply based on need.

Due to our itinerary, we had to arrive at the campsite late at night, but it rained. However, when we arrived, we found out that there was a problem with the camper water system. We had no idea how to solve the problem, and the camper rental company also told us that they would not be able to provide us with the door room until the next morning, which was a difficult situation. However, the water was available thanks to the devoted help of the owner and his wife. It was late and it was raining, but they even went back home to bring us some repair equipment. Thank you very much. I think I will come back with a leisurely schedule next time I have a chance.

Beautiful quiet camping in an area of tall pine trees, and the fishing in the pond was good. The electric and water service for our RV site was reliable. Clean outhouse.
