As you leave the congestion of daily life, unwind as views of buildings disappear, replaced with pastures and trees. Follow the winding road to Hazel River Rd, then turn on Mordiwoll Lane to Harmony Tree Farm, a 23-acre wooded property. After setting up camp, take a walk down to the Hazel River to fish or relax on the sandy bank. Or start exploring places nearby Harmony Tree Farm. Culpeper and Fauquier counties are rich in history, breweries, distilleries, farmers markets, and excellent restaurants. In addition, the Shenandoah Mountains, Luray Caverns, and Skyline drive are not far away. Firewood provided, firepit, private. There are benches around the Firepit. VA has a fire law in effect until April 30, that states there are to be no open fires before 4 pm. Please see https://dof.virginia.gov/wildland-prescribed-fire/fire-laws/ for complete details about the law.

Off leash, on leash. We have a dog and we love all animals!. If your dog/pet could be a problem when another dog (or any animal) shows up at your site, or walks by, then it will need to stay on a leash.

Spigot. The house is not far and we can facilitate filling up jugs and bottles if needed.

Cooking equipment present

Grill over firepit, private. There is a table to set things on and prepare food. (See pictures) We offer a campfire grill and a tripod to rent.

Bathe in river or stream. The river is a 5 minute walk from the site. Riverside campsites are in the process of being added.

Harmony Tree Farm

Gracious host, excellent site. 5/5, double thumbs up, highly recommend it. Harmony Tree Farm is a great place to test new camping gear. The site features a stone firepit, thee log benches, a spot to process firewood, and a workstation table. It's awesome. There's a wide array of safe locations to place your tent (no widow-makers). There aren't any ridiculous gravel plots or hideous wooden decks. Matthew has done a beautiful job preserving the natural world while making it accessible. Down the hill, back and around the property, there's an access trail to the Hazel River, where you can walk out onto the sand flats for fishing.

Great Host!

Matt was great! We came in late and he went out of his way to plow some snow around the campsite to make it more accessible. We enjoyed the site and the overall area. Definitely worth visiting !
