Discover the splendor of our beautiful property boasting a 7-acre lake, expansive river frontage, and miles of winding hiking trails. Immerse yourself in nature's wonders, with abundant wildlife and flourishing gardens to explore. Conveniently located mere minutes from breweries, vineyards, and world-class restaurants, our property offers the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility. Enjoy breathtaking mountain views and easy access to Shenandoah National Park, just ten miles away. Nestled within nature's embrace, our retreat is a mere 90-minute drive from Washington, DC, and only 75 minutes from Charlottesville. Experience the best of both worlds as you escape the city and embrace the serenity of the countryside.Campers with tents or pop ups and four or all wheel drive are best suited for the site in our beautiful field next to the river. In that same pasture is a shed with overhang in case of inclimate weather, electricity and water spigot. Guests with larger rigs will want to park near the house with views of the lake. There is a road with a hill down to the river that would give larger rigs a challenge. Best to park safely and hike all around the property, fish, etc. All campers will have access to miles of trails, use of boats and fishing. Guests can also use our fire pit near the house overlooking lake and mountains. Loud music discouraged on property, it disturbs the wildlife. Cell service works best for Sprint, T Mobile and Verizon customers.

Really pretty spot
5 m car
This is a really pretty piece of land. We enjoyed discovering some of the trails (starting out by walking around the lake, and following the markers from there). The spot by the picnic table, between the stream and the stone wall, is beautiful. The location is close to Shenandoah NP for day hikes.

Amazing family camping trip
Tent
What a place to make memories and relax! Amazing host no phone service for the kids, how It should be camping. My first time using Hipcamp the property is beautiful and secluded. Drive down to camp site is 100% 4 wheel drive maybe cause it rained the night before but I didn’t want to tear up the property so we just drove as slow as possible. There was fire wood on site to keep us warm just had to chop it up which we enjoyed. Highly recommend and will return

This place was amazing and it’s really nice. They only rent to one camper.. We will definitely come back. Our kids love the river and the pond and feeding the horses. The host is extremely nice.

We loved camping at Beaver cove. It was beautiful. Camping right on the river was so nice and the river is stunning. My kids loved walking up and down the river. We really enjoyed fishing and the paddle boat! Lynda was such a wonderful host and so kind. There is plenty of firewood just bring an ax to cut it up with. We didn’t have any service during our trip just for a heads up but it was nice to disconnect for a weekend. We loved it and will 100% be back!

Single best site on Hipcamp. Wonderful, private location by a stream. Just the right mix of natural surroundings and a few 'amenities' (i.e. picnic table and firepit already set up). Lynda is also the single best host on Hipcamp -- we really enjoyed getting to know her a bit during passing conversations. We will 100% be back.

We love camping on Lynda’s land. We camp during the week so we were the only ones there and it’s like having your own personal park. It is beautiful
