Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Enjoy your quiet spot overlooking the creek and explore the private wooded acres. You have unique access to the Poor Mountain Natural Area Preserve (1,326 acres), only 450 feet from your RV campsite. Feel your stress dissolve with the wonderful creek sounds. As you explore the natural area, you will find a tranquil setting that leaves you smiling, relaxed, and refreshed. Enjoy the feeling of being nestled in the wooded Blue Ridge Mountains, while still just 10 minutes from the Interstate, shopping, breweries, and amenities of the Salem area. Currently, there are no hookups at this location. Pets are welcome. The RV site is located near the end of a quiet dead-end road. (There are only six residences beyond the RV spot, so there is very little vehicle traffic passing.) There is easy back-in access right off the paved road. There are no amenities, yet this is a "boondockers" dream. The site is immediately adjacent and overlooks a mountain stream. Onsite exploring in the private forest or the Poor Mountain Nature Preserve.
