Delightful!

Quiet Raymond Island Getaway

This is the most delightful spot. When we arrived Heather came out to greet us, and gave us our choice of spots, and showed us the amenities. Once we were settled in for the evening, we had kangaroos grazing within 5 meters of our campsite, and hopping past. We could even hear the koalas going at it in the night! The island has a great koala walk, and abundant bird life for the birdwatchers. It’s a nice leisurely walk to the ferry if you want to explore Paynesville on foot, and there’s a dump spot for your camping toilet at the public toilets along the Paynesville foreshore. Can recommend Waffle On In for a tasty meal in town. Absolutely fantastic spot, I’d recommend it to anyone!

A magical idealic wonderful holiday

Quiet idyllic and magic location near ferry and great bush walks. Saw koalas and kangaroos. Heather is a wonderful helpful host. We had a great stay.

Piece of Aussie natural paradise.

Quiet Raymond Island Getaway

Being able to stay on Raymond island in our own van was terrific. Heather's property is large and you are literally surrounded by the beautiful gums and native shrubs of Raymond island. This of course bought an array of birds to watch all day long. We were lucky to spot two koalas on Heathers property which was a highlight. Raymond island is a pure piece of Australian heaven. We spotted over 20+ koalas on our walks and rides during our stay. The ferry crossing was a breeze. The restaurants on Paynesville were top notch. Match this with Heather's outstanding hospitality and genuine love for her environment made for a fabulous visit for us first timers to this area. If you love nature, walking, bike riding, birdwatching and of course koalas I recommend visiting.

Quiet Raymond Island Getaway

Very large yard to pick a spot in, tons of bird life, kangaroos and koalas in the trees just metres away. Heather was incredibly accommodating and helpful.
