Friendly people, good mead, nice porch to sit on. After they closed and locked the gates I had the place to my self. The train was noticable if yhou looked for it, but never blew it's horn while I was there. There were highway sounds, but not too bad and that should get better if the repairs/construction is ever finished. The loudest noise was people hitting the rumble strips because of the re-routing lanes. I let friends know where I was and in the middle of the night I got a message from one wanting something from the store. Since I left before they opened, I stopped back by on the way home and picked up her request. I got to see the HUGE farmers market on Memorial Day. Lots of vendors. I'll definitely stay here again.
Everyone in the shop was so friendly, and the space itself was beautiful. Not to mention the mead and honey are delicious! Would definitely stay again.
Was welcomed happily by the host and found my campsite easily. Unfortunately the wind picked up heavily throughout the night, in addition to the train and traffic noice, which made the night difficult to remain in our tent comfortably. Wish we could have stayed until the winery reopened at 12 on Sunday to experience the wine, but due to the weather we left the site early Sunday morning. Also would recommend outdoor bathrooms for when the winery is closed as we had a difficult time finding a private area as an alternate. Still enjoyable, but probably won't return unless I had an RV with a bathroom to stay in.
