Secluded Ranch 12 miles from town on County Rd 108. Open pastures and live oak trees with a pond. Quiet and relaxing Hill country atmosphere. 50 open sites. Fish in the pond, relax and enjoy watching the wild and none wild critters. Nearby there are several Lakes, caves, wineries, breweries, small-town shopping, and a quaint country atmosphere. I have 3 horses and a miniture donkey. Most of my guest love sharing the spaces with the horses as they love guest and will show up to welcome you and enjoy hugs and petting. There are also wildlife, lots of Deer, Blackbucks, Jackrabbits, wild turkeys, Foxes, and other critters hang out on the property and drink from the pond. The nighttime welcomes a million stars. If there is no burn ban and you have a pit, just enjoy a fire on the ground with a cool drink, This is also a good time to enjoy an outside shower under the night sky.Level, hilly, some shaded, some not. Open 50 plus sites Allowing 30'x30' plus areas for everyone. There are two entrances to allow all types of campers and trailors to access the property Eclipes day ! We will ignore regular checkout time as the party starts at 1ish. Will stay all day, if need be, to wait out the traffic all trying to get on the highways at the same time.

Cheryl and her property Sappho Ranch, was absolutely incredible. Having a host as kind and generous as she was made the experience that much more memorable. I would recommend Sappho ranch again and again! We’ll definitely be back!

Camping during eclipse with kids&do
8 m travel trailer · With kids
Cheryl was a wonderful host! She suggested many amazing activities to do in the area. Our kiddos loved exploring the ranch and all the animals. The ranch is beautiful, we visited in early April and there were so many beautiful wild flowers! We got to see the total eclipse too!

Great spot
4 m travel trailer · With kids
Beautiful property. Rolling green hills and trees set back far from the main road. Grazing horses and deer running along the fence line. The owner was very nice and accommodating and our kids loved the animals. I only wish we had more time to relax and enjoy. Only 25 miles from Colorado bend state park, which is a beautiful country drive, especially in wild flower season. Would definitely go back.
