Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Pitch a tent in the grass or park your RV or trailer and enjoy the birds chirping in the oak and pine trees, a willow tree beside a pond with resident turtles, beautiful sunrises, sunsets, and starry night skies. Great bird and nature watching. You may see painted bunting, bats, tree frogs or five lined skink. Deer visit often, sometimes with fawn. Four wheeler, go kart, golf cart, and hammock friendly area. Pat Mayse Lake access is less than a mile walk from camp, and Lamar Point is just over a mile away. Each have boat ramps. The lake is perfect for boating, fishing and swimming. Drive to Barber Hills and other recreation areas along the lake for even more hiking and biking trails, boating, and swimming areas. Location of camp: 13 miles NW of Paris loop 286Oak Tree Campsite is situated between trees where you can find shade or open sky as needed. A flat, grassy space with room to spread out your gear. A short walk to the pond and a short walk or drive to the lake. There is a firepit. A charcoal grill and camp chairs can be provided, just ask. There are no hookups or bathroom amenities, so guests will need to be self contained, take waste, and leave no trace.

Great Off-Grid Getaway
Tent · Group trip
I thoroughly enjoyed the three nights we spent on Jackie and Ryan's land for my cousin's bachelor party. Setting up my hammock in the trees was a breeze, and there was ample space for the rest of our party to pitch their tents. The pond, teeming with bluegills, provided endless fishing fun. The starlit nights were a highlight, and the abundant wildlife added to the charm. Morning birdsong created a serene and peaceful atmosphere after a night of partying. This spot is a perfect escape for anyone looking to unplug and enjoy nature.
