Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
11 acres bordering the Sycamore Creek. Cozy, secluded camping spots with lots of hiking and elevation. Choose a spot at top of property for Hill Country views for miles or closer to the water for more privacy. We also have a 2022 class b outfitted with all the creature comforts if you don’t want to tent it. We have marked 6 sites with a light and fire pit. But feel free to camp anywhere you like within the property line outlined. Please note defined sites are first come first serve. If you choose to find your own site please be considerate of others space, create your own fire pit with rocks and gather only downed wood. Note if there is a fire ban at your time of stay only use camp stoves. All camp sites are primitive and the farther from the parking area you will need to plan on hiking in. Trails are loosely defined by deer trails and there’s elevation to consider. The father from the parking area and closer you are to the creek the more private the site. Please email or text with any questions. Welcome and enjoy your stay! claire@jcfd.studio 512.472.8570

NOT as promised, it was a 6.5/10.
The view is beautiful, the campfire is nice, but views aren’t everything. There was no heat or WiFi in the van which was promised. The host excused it by saying “well if you have an internet signal it would be better than our WiFi anyways”. There was also no way to have a hot shower as the furnace wasn’t working, so it was either cold shower or go without. Not the end of the world, but not what was promised. The van beds are comfy, they’re what you’d expect from a camper van but I had no complaints there, plenty of blanket & pillow. Overall, I wouldn’t say “don’t stay here”, I’d just say be aware you may not be getting what you paid for. That being said, I wouldn’t stay more than a single night, & I personally would not re-book. The hosts were nice, I felt pretty safe & overall I was only dissatisfied with not getting the amenities that were promised, & necessary for this trip in particular.

We were looking for a secluded and primitive tent camping spot not too far from Austin, and this was a beautiful spot.

A Beautiful Memory!
I was looking for memories to create for my son and I…and this was perfect! The JC Rig was so comfortable and had everything to spoil yourself! I was so excited about the accommodations and location! The view was so spectacular! We faced some challenging weather and camping obstacles that were instantly tended to by wonderful hosts. I can’t say enough about how much this trip meant to us! Thank you!
