Enjoy the natural beauty surrounding this historic getaway - a 1000 acre working cattle and wildlife ranch in central Texas situated along a bend in the Colorado River. Entering the original ranch house built in 1913 is like stepping back in time. While Comfortably furnished with modern amenities, the house maintains the structure and rustic charm of the historic home. Enjoy the marked hiking trails, stargazing, swimming in the river, observing wildlife, or checking out the chicken coop.Enjoy the historic rustic home built in 1913. Swim or fish in the river, bring a kayak or canoe to paddle in the river, hike on any of the roads or marked hiking trails, or observe and photograph wildlife! You can often spot whitetail deer, turkey, different species of birds, rabbits, foxes and more! Keep your eyes open for Native American artifacts (but no digging please).

The ranch and historic house were beautiful and the hosts not only made sure we had everything we needed they also gave us a your if some of the many trails on the 1000 acres! We had somewhat stormy weather, we plan to come back again sometime when warmer and drier!

Amazing Family Memories!
With kids
Our family had a WONDERFUL time on the ranch! We took our teenagers, younger kids, our Boston Terrier and our Yorkie, and all had a blast. The house is cozy and well appointed with plenty of space for everyone. The wrap around porch is so great for viewing the sunrise and sunset. The hosts are so gracious and generous, they let our kiddos visit the chickens, and guided us to the best places for fishing the river. Really glad we had our AWD with us! At night, there is virtually no light pollution, and we were able to see the milky way. The kids had a blast looking for arrowheads, wandering freely during the day, and roasting marshmallows at night. We would love to come back for a longer stay!
