Located just over 30 minutes from Toowoomba you will find the Pittsworth Camping Area, enjoy a country experience only a stones throw from the city.
Drive into Pittsworth to look at the monument of the Australian World Record Sprinter from the early 1900s, or look at the huge artwork/memorial of Moore’s Trailers.
There is a rock fire pit available for campers to relax around in the evenings and enjoy the sunsets.
Campers will need to be self sufficient with their own toilet/shower facilities and take their waste with them on departure.
Pets are welcome, there is a friendly dog on the property so please ensure your pet is friendly before letting them off leash.
Absolutely loved our stay at Stones throw away with Jason. We only stopped overnight in between our road trip up north, but we could easily have stayed much longer!. It was the perfect way to spend the afternoon and night with our 2 year old in between long days of driving!. Jason was SO friendly and caring and really went out of his way to ensure our daughter got to meet all of the animals and even help with some feeds!. We felt safe and secure and had access to both power and water which made it all so much easier!. We will definitely be back to see more of what Jason is working on in giving back to his community!. Keep up the good work Jason!. 👍
Couldn’t recommend this spot enough, absolutely beautiful property with cute animals. Jason and rusty were very welcoming and accommodating. Well worth the small price paid! We will sure be back.
Really enjoyed staying here even though I was working. Was nice to come back to van and enjoy the sunsets. The animals were especially
cute and friendly. Couple of nights by the fire were a bonus. Jason is super friendly and with Emma by his side I couldn’t have felt more welcomed. Thanks again guys😁
We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Stone Throw Away. Jason was so hospitable and made us feel incredibly welcome. It was remarkable to hear his story and see how passionate he is about giving back to the community.
We were spoilt with the chance to feed the baby animals, collect fresh eggs and have our puppy make friends with Jason's beautiful Kelpie Bruce.
Gorgeous sunrise over a natural landscape, it was a quick stop but the retreat we were hoping for.
Cutest farm stay! Sunsets were aaaahmaZing! While it’s a small area with 2 sites we were lucky to have great fellow campers who enjoyed the communal fire pit. Dog friendly, but needs to be farm animal friendly. Little goats were super cute!
