Welcome to Barcy! Looking for a campsite where you can camp on your own or with just your friends? Want to learn more about wool growing and sheep grazing businesses? Want to see wildlife (emus, brolgas, kangaroos including the red kangaroo, eagles, echidnas) and livestock in their paddocks? Consider the self-drive tour. Walk the pet, light a fire at night and let the kids explore. Several sites have hot water for open air baths or tubs.
Dunblane is a wool sheep grazing property located just off the Landsborough (Matilda) Highway 8km west of Barcaldine. We welcome guests and we're happy to share our place with others.
Only one booking allowed at each site so you will have the site to yourself, although you are able to book for friends. Pull in, light a fire, watch for falling stars, walk the dog and let the kids explore. Check the sunsets that never fail.

This campsite offers a serene and secluded experience, perfect for those looking to disconnect and enjoy the great outdoors. Visitors often highlight the unique experience of soaking in hot artesian baths while watching the sunset, surrounded by sheep, kangaroos, and emus. The host, David, is frequently praised for his friendliness and responsiveness, ensuring a comfortable stay. However, a couple of reviews mentioned minor issues such as toilet cleanliness and firewood provision.
We loved the bath tubs that you could fill with hot Artesian water and immerse yourself armed with a cold tinny and camera, to watch an amazing sunset. The rustic setting made it all the more memorable as a unique outback experience. We stayed at the Shearing Shed which just added to the ambience, including the sheep that wandered by as we sat in the tubs for a second go in the morning. .
Had everything we needed. Instructions were clear and David was a very responsive host. Enjoying the mineral baths at sunset was special - once in a lifetime experience :)
David was such a friendly and helpful host. The shearing shed was a comfortable camping spot with electricity and water readily available. Totally isolated from other campers and the only visitors we had, other than David checking in, were some sheep and a few kangaroos. Very peaceful and I can’t recommend the bath tubs enough.
Enjoyed a peaceful night here at The Shearing Sheds, topped off with watching the sunset, under The Coolabah Tree in the artesian baths amongst the Merino Sheep
Lovely Host
Thankyou 🥂
