Welcome to Squared Roots Farm, a Garlic Farm and homestead in Alsea, Oregon. We specialize in gourmet hardneck garlic and sustainable farming practices. (IG @squaredrootsfarm) On our farm we grow veggies and flowers. We raise Nigerian dwarf goats, chickens, and honey bees. You will be staying in a 16ft Pacific yurt built on raised deck that has a covered deck for shade and rainy days. There is plenty of space for additional tents and RV campers to join! There is a fire pit, picnic table, full propane grill and composting toilet. There is also a wonderful warm wood stove for staying cozy! You can swim in the creek right next to the site or walk over to the North Fork of the Alsea River where there is 1/2 mile of river access and great winter steelhead fishing too. Close to the farm is world class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, waterfalls, great views, and surfing on the Oregon coast. The camp spot is a very private grassy nook nestled next to Honey Grove Creek. There are nature trails on the property with blackberry bushes. We offer farm fresh eggs, firewood bundles, and as the garden begins to ramp up- we will offer all the veggies to campers including goat cheese! We can do cash or Venmo payments. You will want to consider bringing the following... Our place is close to world class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, waterfalls, great views, and surfing on the Oregon coast. The camp spot is a private grassy nook nestled next to Honey Grove Creek. The site offers a 16' Pacific Yurt sitting up high looking over the creek on a cedar deck. Inside the yurt, there is a private nook with a queen-sized bed. Sheets, pillows and comforter are provided for the queen bed. There is also a couch that folds out into a full size bed- byo bedding/ sleeping bags for the full bed. A small table is on the other side that is perfect for playing cards or eating breakfast. Outside is a 80 square foot deck. This is a great place for a family of 4 or two couples. Not far from the yurt is a fire pit, picnic table and composting toilet. Larger parties can enjoy plenty of room for tent camping. There are a couple of swimming holes in Honey Grove creek or walk over to the North Fork of the Alsea River where there is 1/2 mile of river access and great winter steelhead fishing too. There are nature trails on the property with blackberry bushes. We offer farm fresh eggs for $5 and firewood bundles for $5. Another wonderful stay

We had another wonderful stay at squared roots farm! Dana even left a bag of peanuts for us to feed to the goats. It is doggie heaven for a sensitive doggo, with great privacy and lots of space to run around and splash in the creek. Thanks again for everything!

Yurt by the Creek

Peaceful!

Dana and Jeremy"s yurt by the creek is so beautiful! The placement of the yurt by the creek is peaceful, with the calming sound of the flowing water right there, and the landscape offering breathtaking views of the forested hills, hugging the green valley. The bird songs were heavenly! The creek is right there with many paths to walk up to it, and swimming holes to cool off in a hot summer day. It was nice to have a fire pit outside and a wood burning stove inside! And when we needed more firewood, all we had to do was ask. The space felt safe and with a lot of privacy. Thanks so much, Dana and Jeremy! I'd love to visit again!

Yurt by the Creek

We had a fantastic weekend at the yurt by the creek! The area was super private, and the fire pit and picnic table made cooking and playing games super easy. The yurt gave us a great place to hang out during the rain :) Jeremy and Dana were great hosts, we can’t wait to come back!

A magical mother's day memory

What a gem of a place! We took my parents there for a mother's day getaway! They stayed in the yurt, and we stayed in our camper. The creek behind the yurt was perfect for cooling off in, as it hit well above 80! The dogs had a blast, tromping in the creek as well. The host was attentive without being intrusive. Truly a lovely experience. We will for sure be back 💕

Another great stay at Squared Roots! The little creek behind the yurt was perfect to splash around in with a water loving dog, and loved visiting the goats and piggies!
