The campsite offers a mixed experience for travelers. While many appreciate its convenient location near Crater Lake and find it easy to locate with helpful hosts, others point out concerns about safety and cleanliness, such as the presence of abandoned vehicles and some trash. Despite being close to the highway, the site feels secluded and provides a peaceful setting with beautiful surroundings. However, some visitors have noted a strange atmosphere, urging potential campers to be mindful of their surroundings and come prepared.

The amount of trash/debris was alarming. The location is far from ideal. Chickens locked in a shed? What in the actual fuck? Absolutely horrendous.

Easy to get to, clean, as advertised. Firewood on-site was a very nice touch. Would stay here again

Weird vibe, didn’t feel very safe. There was an abandoned trailer and vehicle across the site as well as in another area.

I tent camped here while on a road trip, just stayed to sleep mostly - arrived late and left early. Campsite was just as described, fairly easy to locate, they had campfire wood to use but I didn't end up making a fire. Host communicated all the information I needed before I arrived, and there was plenty of flat space to set up my tent to sleep.

Really easy to get to. Close to the highway, but felt like we were in the middle of the forest.

This campsite was super close to crater lake and was a good place to stop for the night. My friend and I both camped inside our car at this location and felt relatively safe in the location. It is as advertised with no facilities but they do have solar lights in the ground surrounding the campsite to make it easier to find in the dark. The road leading up to it is a dirt road and the area does look a little sketchy at first glance but we didn't have any problems while there. We did here coyotes in the area though so make sure to properly store your food if you stay in this location. The host was also very responsive. Overall we had a good experience at this site and I would recommend it for a night if you're passing through the area.
